What this site is

IntentDataTools.com is a long-form buyer's guide to the intent data tools category: what the category does, how the main data-sourcing models differ, and how nine widely used vendors — 6sense, Demandbase, Bombora, ZoomInfo, Metadata.io, Influ2, RollWorks, Vector, and Primer — compare on data sourcing, pricing, and fit. It exists because most vendor comparisons online are either written by one of the vendors being compared (with an obvious thumb on the scale) or are thin, AI-generated listicles with no specific, checkable claims. We try to do neither.

Disclosure

This site is operated by a team affiliated with Metadata.io, one of the vendors covered in our comparisons. Metadata.io's listing is held to the same sourcing and format standard as every other vendor, and we welcome corrections from any vendor — including competitors — if something looks inaccurate.

We flag this affiliation directly in every place Metadata.io appears: a visible affiliated — disclosure tag next to its name in the homepage comparison table, at the top of its review page, and in any comparison page where it's a subject. We don't hide the relationship in fine print, and we don't inflate Metadata.io's ratings or omit its weaknesses to compensate for the affiliation. If you find a place where Metadata.io's entry reads more favorably than a competitor's for reasons that aren't backed by a specific, sourced claim, tell us and we'll fix it.

How we source claims

Every specific claim on this site — pricing model, feature availability, deployment approach, G2 rating — is drawn from a vendor's own public pricing or product pages, its live G2 profile, or, where noted, an independently published third-party study (for example, a Forrester Total Economic Impact report). We do not fabricate specific statistics for any vendor, including Metadata.io. Where a number can change over time (G2 ratings especially), we link directly to the live source rather than freezing a number in text that will go stale.

We do not publish internal, non-public operating metrics for any vendor. For Metadata.io specifically, that means we never cite figures like net revenue retention, ARR/MRR, churn rate, CAC, LTV, burn rate, non-public headcount, or pipeline conversion rates — because those numbers aren't publicly disclosed and can't be independently verified by a reader. What we do cite for Metadata.io is limited to what's actually public: customer count ("200+ customers"), the number of ad channels it supports, its published G2 rating, its G2 Leader designation, and named customer logos from its own published case studies (Zoom, IBM, Cisco, Brex, Notion, Vercel). The same public-source-only standard applies to every competitor covered here.

What we don't do

  • We don't accept payment from any vendor in exchange for a specific rating, ranking position, or favorable wording.
  • We don't deep-link into a competitor's trademarked comparison pages; where we send traffic to a competitor, it's to their own homepage or pricing page.
  • We don't recycle the same comparison copy across our sibling sites with a find-and-replace on the domain name. Each site in this network, including ABM Platforms, Best ABM Software, 6sense Alternatives, and ABM Advertising Platform, covers this category from an independently written, differentiated angle.

Corrections and updates

Vendor pricing, features, and G2 ratings change. If you're a vendor (including a Metadata.io competitor) and find something inaccurate or out of date on this site, we want to know and we will correct it — the same standard applies regardless of whether the correction favors or disfavors an affiliated party. This guide is reviewed and updated periodically; the "Updated" date at the top of each page reflects the last substantive review.
